Cool Springs apartments in the Brentwood and Franklin area of Williamson County are in high demand.  One main reason why apartments in Cool Springs are desirable is the high quality of Williamson County Schools.  Cool Springs apartments are also in close proximity to amenities such as restaurants, Cool Springs Galleria and corporate headquarters such as Nissan North America, Mars Petcare, Primus Financial Services, Healthways and Jackson National Life Insurance.

Apartments in Cool Springs are a short drive from historic Downtown Franklin and only 15 minutes south of Downtown Nashville.  The Cool Springs area, made up of the cities of Franklin and Brentwood, contains approximately 3 million square feet more office space than the Down Nashville Central Business District.  The density of companies and office space in Cool Springs is staggering compared to Downtown Nashville.  It makes sense for people working in this area to live closer, minimizing their work commute while taking advantage of the lifestyle and amenities Cool Springs apartments offer.  Unlike Downtown Nashville, you don’t have to pay to park anywhere in the Cool Springs area.

One main reason to rent or lease apartments in Cool Springs is without question the Williamson County School District.  Williamson County Schools consistently rank as the top schools in the country and region.  Ravenwood High School and Brentwood High School seem to be two of the most sought after high schools to be zoned in.

Another huge driver of leasing or renting an apartment in Franklin or Brentwood is the sheer number of people relocating here for work.  Williamson County and Nashville generally enjoy a relatively low level of unemployment.  Moving into the area as new resident, it makes sense to find an apartment for rent before you decide where to finally purchase a home.

Who or what in Cool Springs is killing trees on Gillespie Drive in Franklin Tennessee?

Gillespie Drive in Cool Springs is lined with beautiful mature trees that give a “boulevard” type feel to the street.  Alara Farms, Alara Cool Springs and Alara Brook apartments are the only properties located on Gillespie Drive in Franklin.  The three complexes total about 1200 upscale apartments.

Some time ago several people noticed several trees losing bark at the base.  Over the next month or two, they had lost enough bark that the trees soon died.

Trees were quietly removed and stumps ground down.

It happens just a few at a time and only on the South side of Gillespie Drive.

Of the 27 trees on the South side of Gillespie Drive, 7 are dead and have been removed, 9 are dying and only 11 appear to be healthy.

At first people thought RAM Partners, the property management company in charge of the three Cool Springs apartments located on street, may have been reconfiguring the streetscape.

I spoke with Skip Johnston, one of the property managers with RAM Partners at Alara Farms and he said they were not purposefully removing the trees.  Skip mentioned Alara Farms and RAM Partners were also very concerned as to why the tree on Gillespie Drive in Cool Springs are dying.

“Beautiful tree lined Gillespie Drive is one of the signature amenities Alara Farms is known for”, Skip said.  Not to mention the huge cost in replacing mature trees.

The landscaping company contracted by RAM Partners to maintain the street was not able to determine why the trees are dying.

A resident passed by while I was documenting the tree carnage and mentioned another neighborhood in Cool Springs that also had a mysterious landscaping assassin killing trees.  The passerby thought that neighborhood was maintained by the same landscaping company responsible for Gillespie Drive as well as most of Cool Springs.

We are contacting the landscaping company responsible for maintaining Gillespie Drive to see out what their analysis of the tree killing on Gillespie Drive is.  Hard to believe a cause cannot be determined, whether it be human or mother nature.

Throughout the Cool Springs area, beautiful streetscapes are everywhere you look.  Property owners pay into a general fund that maintain the always green and perpetually blooming streetscapes.

What is the annual contract value for the Cool Springs streetscape landscaping services?

We’re interested to find out.

Are you looking for Cool Springs apartments?  Having trouble because what you’re finding are apartments in Franklin TN or Brentwood?  Cool Springs is not an actual city, but an area made up of both Brentwood and Franklin Tennessee.  All of these areas are located in Williamson County TN, known for an extremely high quality local public school system.  There are area professionals who own homes outside the county, but lease an apartment in Cool Springs.  They live in the apartment with the family during the week to establish residency and enable their children to attend Williamson County Public Schools.  Private schools in the area range anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 a year.  You can quickly see how paying $15,000 a year for an apartment in Cool Springs TN is much cheaper than paying $50,000 to $100,000 a year if you have several children.

Many corporate headquarters are located in Cool Springs, these include Nissan North America, Verizon, Mars Petcare, Healthways and more.  These companies frequently have people coming to work on assignments or projects for periods of time less than a year.  Cool Springs apartments are always full of these type of high paid employees.  They like living close to work and enjoy the short commute.  The sheer number of Cool Springs restaurants is itself an amenity in addition to the Cool Springs Galleria and surroundings offering every type of retail imaginable.  Many Cool Springs apartments are within walking distance from restaurants, bars and coffee shops.  Almost all of the apartments in Franklin TN are in the Cool Springs area.
