Curtis L. Gardner Jr. was selected as a “Lifeline” for his good friend recently picked as a contestant on the well known television show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”. Curtis is Branch Manager of the Cool Springs US Bank inside Publix grocery store on Moore’s Lane in Brentwood Tennessee.
Curtis mentioned several weeks back that he was very excited, it happened to be the day he was “on call” for the taping of the show. I stopped in yesterday and asked how things worked out. Curtis said his friend Kalani did very well and she had won $100,000 on the show.
Although Curtis wasn’t called as lifeline, he said the process was very exciting and he was extremely happy his friend did so well. I asked him if he was nervous and he responded, “More excited than nervous!”. In order to participate as a lifeline on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, the lifeline candidates must submit a picture, release form and have a conference call with producers outlining the responsibilities. Once everything is clear, the waiting begins during the window in which the show is taped on a preselected day.
Congratulations to Curtis and Kalani! Say hello to Curtis the next time you’re at the US Bank inside Publix on Moores Lane.
