Oprah Winfrey’s stepmom faces eviction from Franklin home

A Williamson County judge could decide whether or not to evict the former stepmother of Oprah Winfrey on Monday.

Barbara Winfrey, who divorced Oprah’s father last year, is expected to find out if she will lose her $1.4 million home in the LaurelBrooke subdivision off Sneed Road in Franklin.

In 2012, her husband Vernon Winfrey filed for divorce.

As part of the divorce agreement, Barbara was allowed to keep the house as long as she signed a confidentiality agreement about Oprah since Oprah bought the house.

Barbara, however, reportedly refused to sign it.  Now she is being asked to vacate the home.

The hearing is set to begin at 9 a.m.
