A man stopped for speeding on Bakers Bridge Avenue near the Cool Springs Galleria turned out to be an international fugitive wanted by the FBI and Interpol.  He has been wanted since 1999 for wire and mail fraud charges  in South Africa.  Walter Wright, a Brentwood resident, complained of chest pains when he was pulled over on Bakers Bridge Avenue and taken to Williamson County Medical Center.  The FBI’s Violent Crime and Gang Task Force held him under close watch until he was taken into federal custody for return to South Africa.

Walter reportedly set up Capgro Finance Brokers, a company that accepted large sums of cash and never invested any of it.  He targeted  the middle class black community in Soweto, South Africa.  Wright drew in the investors by playing on negative feelings and anger towards banks stemming from the black community.
