Just outside Cool Springs, the Franklin Theatre returns to Main Street in Downtown Franklin on June 3, 201 at 6:00pm.
Join us for a very special part of the Franklin Theatre’s Grand Opening!
The Speakeasy will open for a limited number of patrons at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3. Step inside the Speakeasy and step back in time with live jazz, cocktails and card games. Period costume is encouraged, but not required for attending the Speakeasy opening.
The Grand Opening Street Party in Downtown Franklin on Main Street will feature:
– A Free Live Swing Band and Swing Dancing
– Free Outdoor Screenings of “The Wizard of Oz,” “King Kong,” and “Swing Time”
– The Downtown Franklin stores will adopt movie themes and have extended hours.
Come dressed as your favorite movie character and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime night!
The campaign to “Save the Franklin Theatre” is ongoing. During the Grand Opening festivities on Friday June 3 in Downtown Franklin, the Heritage Foundation will host a Red Carpet Fundraiser to sustain operations for the future. A limited number of $1000 tickets have already sold out.
The opening night movie (SOLD OUT) for Friday is Gone with the Wind at 9:30pm. The beloved 1939 film starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh will make its debut on the Franklin Theatre’s opening weekend in Downtown Franklin.
