Franklin police investigating suspicious package at DA’s office

Possible Franklin Bomb Threat

The all-clear has been given in Williamson County after a suspicious package was found at the district attorney’s office.

The Franklin Police Department’s bomb squad was called to the office, located at 421 Main Street, to investigate and the alley connecting 4th and 5th avenues was closed.

District Attorney General Kim Helper told News 2 the package, a padded envelope, was picked up with the mail from the post office Monday morning.

The all-clear was given around 10:15 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
