The Score of Cool Springs has announced an ambitious lineup of video-game-related daily events, tournaments, and sales for the entire summer, spanning May through August, for residents of Franklin and the greater Nashville area.
The Score’s “Summer Staycation 2012” is the local business’ answer to rising gas prices and increased demand for family-oriented event programming.
One early highlight of the Staycation schedule is Nashville’s own video gaming convention, “ScoreCon 2.” This event, billed as equal parts entertainment and education, features a variety of video game industry speakers, panels, and large video game tournaments with prizes for winners. ScoreCon 2 will take place at Rocketown (in downtown Nashville) on Saturday, May 19 – regular admission passes are still available as of this writing, but VIP passes have already sold out.
“ScoreCon 2, and The Score’s Summer Staycation lineup as a whole, are the video game programming and fun people have come to expect from The Score,” founder Bradley Metrock said. “Over the summer, when we aren’t as busy with birthday parties and other private events, we wanted to provide Cool Springs with something to do on a daily basis.”
