Niki G Alzheimer’s Fundraiser 1/21

Niki G’s Fitness will hold five “drop-in” classes on Jan. 21st for non-members who can try out a Niki G class for $20. All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Niki Gauthier, Owner of Niki G’s Fitness, is playing in the Alzheimer’s Association Mid South Chapter Middle Tennessee Region’s first every Blondes vs. Brunettes Powderpuff Football Game on Jan. 26th to honor her Grandmother and Great-grandmother who both lived with Alzheimer’s Disease. Gauthier is one of the captain’s of the “Blonde” team and has dedicated her monthly trial classes in January as a fundraiser to the Alzheimer’s Association. Gauthier says, “At Niki G’s we teach lifestyle changes to create the habit of consistent exercise, which is just one of the ways that show promise of helping to prevent Alzheimer’s. We are proud to support an organization that will continue to education our community on how to prevent Alzheimer’s and will provide support to those who have been affected.”

Classes are available at all three Nashville area Niki G’s Fitness locations on Saturday, Jan. 21st 2012. Boot Camp classes for women all fitness levels are offered at 7am in Cool Springs, 8:30am at Wildwood and 9:30am at their Lenox Village location in South Nashville. Niki G’s Fusion Fitness class, a blend of Pilates and Yoga, is available at Cool Springs at 8:30am and at Lenox Village at 8:15am. All classes are one hour long and provide a chance for non-members to try out a class before deciding to enroll for a four-week session. Advanced registration to the Trial Class and Fundraiser is required.

Niki G’s Boot Camp, THE Complete Personal Fitness Program for Women, is available in three area locations and offers almost 50 class per week. Members of all fitness levels enjoy the accountability, camaraderie and variety of exercise they experience at Niki G’s. Niki Gauthier, a mother of two and former regular fitness expert and guest on the Home Shopping Network, has been a personal trainer for over 15 years.

“Dancing With An iPod in Public” Rally at Cool Springs Galleria

A rally is being held on Sunday, December 18th from 2-3pm in Center Court at the Cool Springs Galleria in an effort to get Preston Leatherman on the Ellen show.

By now you may have seen Preston Leatherman’s “Dancing With an iPod in Public”, filmed recently at both the Cool Springs Galleria and The Mall at Green Hills. The video was filmed throughout stores and in mall common areas at the two Nashville area shopping malls. Although “Dancing With an iPod in Public” has received a good amount of national press, it has yet to reach 1 million views since being uploaded to YouTube almost 3 weeks ago. While amazing and heartwarming, relative to the world of viral videos it still has a ways to go until reaching Double Rainbow fame. Preston needs our help to increase the YouTube views so join us from 2-3pm on Sunday!

The Cool Springs Galleria is Tennessee’s largest mall and located in Cool Springs Franklin, the heart of Williamson County.

A well known Nashville food truck named”Labor of Love”, voted Best Philly Cheesesteak in Nashville 2011, is serving lunch in Cool Springs on Wed Dec. 14!

Labor of Love will be parked at 1616 Westgate Circle in Cool Springs/Brentwood from 11:30pm – 1:30pm.

Vanderbilt Breast Center Event

The Vanderbilt Breast Center is inviting women who want to receive their screening mammograms to a special Girls’ Day Out, Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., near Cool Springs at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks, 719 Thompson Lane, Nashville.

Women are invited to a day of fun and pampering while they take care of one of the most important things they can do for their health – getting screened for breast cancer.

More than 230,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States this year and approximately 39,000 women will die from the disease, according to the National Cancer Institute.

The special Girls’ Day Out will feature a free brunch, massages, a healthy cooking demonstration and door prizes.

Free parking is available behind the building and participants are asked to enter the building through Entrance A.
