Celebrate Children’s Fair 2010

On Saturday, April 3, the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center will partner with other local organizations, such as Mercy Children’s Clinic, Franklin Police Department, Franklin Fire Department and others for the Celebrate Children’s Fair 2010 at Pinkerton Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event will be a day to celebrate the lives of all children and kick off April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

“Celebrate Children’s Fair is a fun and family-friendly, as well as educational, activity for our community,” said Brenda Davis, Executive Director for the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center. “It is also an excellent opportunity for the people of Williamson County to learn about the different ways they can get involved and show support to the many different organizations around the county.”

This lively event will include fun-filled activities such as game booths with prizes, face painting, relay races, and tours of a police car and fire truck. The Franklin Police Department will be on hand to provide finger printing for children, provide information on child safety seat installation, and its K-9 Unit will conduct demonstrations at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Each partnering organization will have an individual booth set up with activities and information about the services they provide. Food for the event has been generously donated by Dominos Pizza, Chick-Fil-A, Purity Dairies, and Costco.

Cool Springs Life Equity Strategy

Gene Simmons from KISS and Cool Springs Life are loaning people cash against their life insurance policies, just announced today from several news outlets.

It’s happening right here in Cool Springs Tennessee!

Gene Simmons has partnered with Cool Springs Life Equity Strategy, located here in Franklin, TN, to offer loans to high net worth life-insurance policyholders against their eventual payout.

The main partners in the new venture include Gene Simmons, Simon C. Baitler, Richard Abramson, Samuel B. Watson, William B Randolph and David R Carpenter.

Included in this eclectic group of partners is Richard Abramson, who solo managed the character “Pee-wee Herman” and co-created Pee-wee’s Playhouse.  Mr. Abramson also orchestrated the motion picture film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure”.  Pee-wee’s career took a turn for the worst when he was caught masturbating publicly in an adult theater.

Gene Simmons and Sam Watson from Cool Springs Life gave several interviews including InBusiness with Margaret Brennan from Bloomberg and America Live on Fox News.

We’re just hoping to catch Gene Simmons in Cool Springs restaurants having lunch or dinner.

Here is the press release from today’s announcement:

Gene Simmons, singer and bassist for the rock band Kiss, said high-net-worth individuals should better prepare to protect their wealth after they die.

“You should know what your choices are in planning your estate,” said Simmons, co-founder of Cool Springs Life Equity Strategy, in an interview with Bloomberg Television in New York today.

Simmons said his company can benefit athletes and entertainers who earned fortunes without building financial expertise. Kiss has broken box-office records set by Elvis Presley and the Beatles, according to Simmons’s Web site. The band benefits from licensing agreements that sell apparel, wine bottles and jewelry emblazoned with the Kiss logo.

“I just want to address those of you out there who might be like me, in pop culture, basketball players, entertainers, rock stars, people like that,” he said. “We are not really the most well-informed people, and yet, because we’ve worked really hard, and the American dream is alive and well, we’ve been able to become high net-worth individuals.”

Cool Springs offers loans to life-insurance policyholders against their eventual payout. The company says it can help clients minimize estate taxes and eliminate life insurance premium payments.

“We have access to literally $7 billion to loan you against your life insurance policy at Libor flat,” Simmons said, referring to the London interbank offered rate, a lending benchmark that was set at 0.278 percent today.

Claude P. Street in 1900 as Jesse French Piano & Organ

History of the Claude P. Street Piano Company

In 1914, Claude P. Street after managing the Jesse French Piano Company for 14 years, opened his own piano showroom in downtown Nashville. He was certain that a successful business could be built by offering the finest keyboard instruments and professional service. One hundred and ten years later, we are a living testimony to that dream – being the oldest piano store in middle Tennessee.

Today we continue the tradition by offering grand, upright, digital, and player pianos from the world’s largest, and many say – best musical manufacturer – Yamaha. Claude P. Street Piano also offers a complete range of piano services (tuning, repair, and restoration services) through some of Music City’s most gifted piano technicians.

For the economy minded – we offer superb pianos from China – both the German-inspired Hallet Davis as well as pianos from American Sejung.

We are also the authorized Allen Organ dealer. Allen Organs are the finest organs available and continue to fill worship sanctuaries with the most inspiring organ sound heard anywhere.

Claude P. Street Piano Company has been serving the Mid-South’s keyboard instrument needs for over 95 years, and we’ve been rewarded with lasting friendships spanning three generations.

It is the exact piano that most of the Yamaha’s well know musicians and celebrity artists play on.  Yamaha has a “Concert & Artists Division”, also located in Franklin, TN.  When a Yamaha signed artist comes to town to play at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the piano is transported to the venue as needed.

Occasionally when an artist comes to Nashville a few days early, they’ll stop in to play and practice at the Claude P. Street Piano Company store.
